Frequently Asked Questions

We have ongoing reporting throughout the year.

Term One

You will receive sharing books - which is a collection of work the children have selected to share with their parents.

Term Two

Interviews are held - these involve the parent, teacher and child setting learning goals.  Parents will also receive written reports at the end of the term.

Term Three

Sharing books will again be sent home.

Term Four

Interview are held - these involve the parent, teacher and child discussing progress and formulating new ideas for the upcoming year.  Parents will also receive written reports at the end of the term.

At the end of each year the Principal and Board also send out a written report on the performance of the school as a whole in the form of an Analysis of Variance, Principals Report and a Board of Trustees Report.  These are generally made available on the Christmas Tree Evening.

The school has an open door policy and parents are encouraged to come in and see the teachers or principal if you have any concerns or worries about your child.  The staff are always keen to support the students learning and forming strong home/school relationships is an important part of this.

On occassion a Board member will need to resign from their position before their term is finished.  The vacancy will be advertised (generally in the newsletter) and we will ask parents to notify the school if they wish to have an election take place.  If we do not receive 10% of our parents asking for the election the Board will 'select' on a temporary Board of Trustees member to take over from the resigning member.  This new selected member will fufil the term for the person they are taking over from.  They new member may stand at elections like all other Board members and community members.
